  • HbA1C Testing

This measure is used to assess the percentage of members 18 through 75 years of age with diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2) who were continuously enrolled during the measurement year and who had a hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) blood test.

  • Lipid Measurement

This measure is used to assess the percentage of members 18 to 75 years with diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2) who were continuously enrolled during the measurement year and who had low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) test performed during the measurement year or prior to the measurement year.

  • Eye Exam

This measure is used to assess the percentage of members 18 to 75 years of age with diabetes (Type 1 and 2) who were continuously enrolled during the measurement year and who had an eye exam (retinal) performed.

  • Urine Protein Screening

This measure assesses the percentage of adult diabetes patients aged 18-75 years who received any test for levels of albumin (protein) in the urine, referred to as microalbuminuria.
