AMI Measures
The NYQA will employ the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get With The GuidelinesSM (GWTG) an evidence-based program for in-hospital quality improvement. Get With The Guidelines– Heart Failure (GWTG–HF) is a Web-based program created to help hospitals improve the quality of care they provide to heart failure patients by aligning treatment with the most current scientific guidelines.
Measures include:
- Aspirin 1at Arrival
- Aspirin Prescribed at Discharge
- ACEI for LVSD at Discharge
- Beta Blocker at Arrival
- Beta Blocker at Discharge
- Thrombolytic Agent within 30 Minutes of Arrival
- PCI within 120 minutes for AMI
- Adult Smoking Cessation Advice/Counseling
